Sense International Ball 2009

Join us on 31 January 2009 for a night to remember as we celebrate 10 years of Sense International's achievements at the Waldorf Hilton.

  'Made in Romania' celebrity film premiere

On 4 June, nearly 200 people made their way to the Renoir Cinema, Russell Square, for a black tie celebrity film premiere put on by Angus Lawson Memorial Trust who are supporting our work with deafblind babies and children in Romania.

The Director Guy Louthan and cast were there along with many of our other supporters, all of whom helped to make the night a great success. Canapes and champagne were enjoyed by all before an auction was then held by Sotheby's auctioneer Lord Harry Dalmeny. There were some great prizes up for grabs, all of which had been kindly donated. A haircut at exclusive Mayfair salon Michaeljohns was the first to go, followed by an introductory helicopter lesson at the school founded by world champion heli acrobat Quentin Smith. The third auction lot was a four course dinner for six people cooked at their home by celebrity chef and cook book author Barry Vera, while the final prize was two tickets to a VIP hospitality suite at the British Grand Prix.

Nearly £20,000 was raised from the event and a good night was had by all. We would like to acknowledge and thank the sponsors for the evening without the support of whom, the event would not have been possible.
